The Goal

Copefrut’s operation, like most of the agricultural operations in Latam, was almost entirely offline, paper, pen and lots of folders with files.

The goal for Copefrut when engaging with us was to go through a very deep digital transformation that allowed them to become the leader in the space, allow producers and stakeholders to easily access data and notify all parties when important business processes happened.

After many discovery sessions, the main objectives were creating a mobile application for producers and field workers, creating a back-office system for administrative personnel and a single API that kept all in sync.

Develative’s Role

When we received Copefrut from a partner we were surprised to see how committed the company was with digital transformation, everything was moved to the cloud (Azure) and zero-downtime deployments processes were already in place, with a sophisticated Kubernetes architecture and multiple environments.

Our participation then was focused on ensuring that the main API was performant, resilient and was able to cover the complexities of multiple producers, the standards of Copefrut and the different functionalities like offline capabilities, photo analysis, PDF uploads/downloads, pdf viewers and digital signature.

In the past months, the main focus was with the integration of Whatsapp as a communication and notification channel, which allowed the company to improve application usage and engagement from stakeholders.

The Results

Today Copefrut proudly calls himself a tech-forward company, in the upcoming months we’ll be working on the AI transformation path for the company to ensure the organization is setup for success in the upcoming AI revolution in Agriculture.

As of now, Develative supports and manages 3 different UI projects, a single API and a mobile app that is evolving on every release.

Requests and bug reports are being handled through Develative’s support portal which allows for a smooth collaboration and timely resolution.
