The Goal

We started working at the end of 2024 following The Hackett Group’s acquisition of LeewayHertz, a highly recognized provider of advanced Gen AI solutions. This acquisition marked a significant milestone in The Hackett Group’s aggressive strategy to become a leading architect of its clients’ Gen AI journey. This transaction combined The Hackett Group’s  enterprise Digital transformation World Class IP with LeewayHertz’s Gen AI advanced solutioning and implementation capabilities, as well as their market leading AI XPLR and ZBrain software platforms.

The goal was simple, to position The Hackett Group as an AI enabler in the consulting industry, taking advantage of the large client base the company had and all the benchmarking intelligence the company was able to collect with decades of doing great work for their clients.

Develative’s Role

After a few discovery calls with both the Chief AI Officer and the VP of Product Innovation we were able to quickly ramp up a team of Artificial Intelligence experts, a team of two AI engineers alongside two fullstack engineers.

For the The Hackett Group and for us, was very important to make a strong distinction between an engineer that uses AI on a daily basis or maybe is building products with OpenAI wrappers and a true AI Engineer who’s well instructed in Machine Learning topics and is able to understand concepts like Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, Graph Databases, Vectorization, Semantic Search to truly be a helpful and impactful player for the team.

The Results

Our collaboration with The Hackett Group lasts til today, we’re still collaborating with the AI department and other sections in the company like Data Engineering and Data Governance.
